Role of Parents and Families

Scripture is clear that parents have been given the joy and responsibility of raising their students in the ways of Jesus. Parents are the primary voice and point of influence in a child's life. As children experience both pain and joy in life, parents are to help their kids see those things in light of the gospel.

 

Role of The Student Ministry

We want to come alongside parents as they take the lead in the spiritual development of their students. It is our hope to equip, encourage and minister to families by providing resources and opportunities that help them worship and learn together.

 

Working Together

The hope of the student ministry is to partner with parents. Here are three ways parents and our ministry can work together.  This is just a start for us and we want to continue to grow in this area of defining our partnership more clearly.

1.       Come to a ministry environment (i.e. LIFE class, 78 Way, HS monthly gathering)

We desire to sow the seeds of community. By coming consistently to our ministry environments, relationships are more likely to grow deeper and stronger.

2.      Attend a student ministry event together.

We would love for you to be a part of one our major events we do each year.

3.      Utilize Family Resources

We have a list of recommend books to help guide you as you parent your students.  Also, we send a monthly epage, sign up here.
