At Lagrange Baptist, the deacons are responsible for serving the needs of the church under the direction of the elder body. Their responsibilities include assisting the elders and staff in accomplishing the church mission; proclaiming the gospel to believers and unbelievers; caring for the church body and other persons in the community; leading by example; and promoting unity within the church.
Our deacons are nominated annually by church members and are then considered by active deacons to determine their willingness to serve, as well as to decide if they meet all of the qualifications. Our deacons serve for a term of three years.

Widely known to meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:8-13 (holding the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience, being tested over time and found blameless, and being faithful in all things)
