L.I.F.E. Basics
|
What is L.I.F.E.? L.I.F.E. is an acronym for Love, Instruction, Fellowship, and Evangelism. These four words essentially form the basis of discipleship and when lived out practically in each of our age specific areas can help us to reach our mission of making disciples. L.I.F.E. Basics is a year long (in four - two hour sessions) training program for the entire church body to learn what it means to embrace L.I.F.E. and live out L.I.F.E together. Real life is centered on the cross. That's why everything we do as teachers must flow from a Christ-centered, cross-centered life. Everything is connected to Christ. By His death, burial, and resurrection we have been given new life. And because of this truth we can offer new life to others. With that in mind, we want every L.I.F.E . training to be a time of growing in our love for Christ together. This year’s LIFE Basics training will come on the heels of the LIFE Teacher trainings (the following month) and seeks to give an opportunity for the rest of the congregation to come and be exposed to our vision of LIFE and how we can practically be disciples of Christ. The 2007 - 2008 schedule will be in reverse order with church wide LIFE Basics events interspersed throughout the schedule:
