Senior Adults

We believe that our senior citizens are a most precious resource and are an important part of our church family. Our seniors meet together regularly each month for a time of fellowship and worship or special emphasis. Special trips and retreats are planned throughout the year as well.

HOMEBOUND MINISTRY

This ministry is made up of a group of volunteers who primary focus is on the many people who are not able to attend our services.  Through this ministry our church reaches out with visits, taking sermon tapes or Sunday school literature, sees about physical needs and lets the folks who can no longer get out know that we love them.

TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY

This ministry has two functions. First it transports folks to and from church. The van ministry picks folks up on Sunday morning and that’s them home after services.  The family pick-up ministry is equipped to help those that have special needs such as wheel chairs, walkers, etc.

The second part of this ministry helps some of our group get to doctor or dentist appointments, pharmacy,, grocery store or other appointments.

To sign up for a ride, simply contact the church office or use the online form.

 AUTUMN CLUB

We meet the first Thursday of every month at 10:30 am in the Fellowship Hall. We enjoy singing and a special speaker along with a great lunch. This is a good time to meet and have fellowship which is the main function of this ministry; to continue our relationships with one another.

SERVICE MINISTRY

This ministry serves to reach out to our members as well as non-church members. We help our brothers and sisters with repairs and maintenance demonstrating the love we have for one another. We also seek to assist folks in our community by meeting physical needs whatever they may be. We then reach out sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ so that the power of His Word can change lives. Through this we also demonstrate our love for our neighbor and our Lord.

VISITATION MINISTRY

Through visits important bonds grow between two people. Blessing come to the visitor and the person being visited. Through these visits important information gathered about our people. This is a valuable tool in the area of older adults counseling with younger adults.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Our Sunday School is where discipleship is happening through the study of God’s Word. We have men’s and women’s classes of all ages 55 and up as well as a co-ed class.

PRAYER MINISTRY

The “prayer warriors” for Christ, the “knees of the body of Christ”.  The ministers in this ministry take specific needs for specific people at specific times as matters of prayer.
