LIFE University Classes

Come join us this Sunday night at 5:30pm!
We will be having

LIFE University*

with four (4) different classes. The classes will be:

(l) Why be a Baptist? – Greg Wills will be leading this class.  Greg will examine the ways that Baptists differ from other Christians, and the Biblical and historical reasons for those differences.  We will look at some of the heroic events and painful controversies that have shaped Baptists.
We will also investigate the reasons for the existence of the Southern Baptist Convention.  At each step, we will confront what the Bible teaches concerning our own beliefs and practices, and so seek conformity to the pattern of Christ.
(2) God in the ordinary – Cam Potts will be leading this class.  “Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”  This is a common Bible verse that most Christians know and quote, but do we really live this out?  We are to do all things to the glory of God because that is the very reason we were created, but we tend to think of this just in relation to a couple days each week when we do “Christian” things.
This class will explore how ordinary, everyday activities can and should be done to the glory of God.  We will cover topics like sleep, food, sports, humor, and many others.”
(3) Mormonism – Jim LeMaster & Mark Peterson will lead this class in Apologetics
(4) Hymnology and writing songs about God – with Ben Brainard. Would you like to learn more about worship, the theology behind it, it’s purpose and some of it’s history? Understanding what goes into the songs we sing, the doctrine in them and what it takes to write a psalm, hymn or praise song. Expect to sing while you are here!

*LIFE University classes are held on the second Sunday of every month from 5:30 – 6:30 pm
