Pastor Tony returns to Isaiah 9:6-7. He teaches that the gift God gives us through Jesus meets our core needs at the deepest level. The gift of Jesus is personal which gives us relationship with God, and His rule is permanent which gives us security.

We do not come to scripture to read into it what we'd like to be there, to fashion God as we think he is because when we do that we don't meet Jesus in the scriptures we only meet more of ourselves.
